VB Group

VB & Little Leaf Farms

Info

For the latest expansion of Little Leaf Farms, the largest indoor lettuce grower in the United States, VB Group was once again selected as the main contractor for the realisation of an 8-hectare high-tech greenhouse in Tennessee. VB asked us to visually document this exceptional international project: from production and logistics in the Netherlands to transport and installation in the United States.

Scope

We were involved early in the marketing and communication strategy together with the VB marketing team. Our scope covered the full visual registration of the project: a large-scale international shoot across multiple locations, including high-end video production, photography, aerial and FPV drone work, motion branding and full post-production for international communication.

Deliverables

High-end international project film

Photography for press & image library

Drone & FPV aerial cinematography

Motion branding & graphic overlays

Content package for marketing, PR, social and internal communication

Documenting a global greenhouse production

For more than ten years, VB Group has been the trusted supplier of advanced greenhouse projects for Little Leaf Farms. Their newest development in Tennessee represents one of the most ambitious projects to date, both in scale and innovation. For us, it became one of the largest and most demanding productions of 2025. VB once again placed its trust in us to translate this achievement into a visual story that would do justice to the engineering, logistics and international cooperation behind it, a trust we value greatly.

What made this project fundamentally different for VB from all previous projects was the decision to engineer and ship the entire greenhouse in one single operation. For the first time, all disciplines, steel, glass, climate systems and electrics, were fully engineered, instead of being phased over time. This required extensive upfront engineering to ensure that every single component could be shipped in one go. With an exceptional scale of transportation, 419 containers were shipped from the port of Rotterdam to Jacksonville (USA).

Fully integrated marketing

We were involved from the earliest stages of the marketing strategy. Together with VB, we defined the goals, audience and narrative of the project communication. This resulted in a fully developed visual and communication plan built around emotion, scale and technical excellence.

As part of this strategy, 150 metres of custom-printed banners were produced to be mounted on top of the shipping containers. During the five shooting days, our team, together with VB, installed these banners on both sides of a 200-metre container ship, six banners per side. This created a powerful visual statement during transport and became an essential element of the storytelling.

Filming under challenging conditions

Because the exact departure timing of the ship was uncertain, we expanded our production team to ensure full coverage of the loading and departure process. The core team consisted of:

‍

Two camera operators on site, one of whom also handled press photography and the image library

One backup camera operator positioned further along the waterway for the ship’s departure

A four-person aerial crew operating under special permits in the Port of Rotterdam, in live coordination with Rotterdam Airport air-traffic control and local law enforcement

‍

Two drone operators worked with an Inspire 3 equipped with multiple high-end lenses for premium aerial cinematography. Two additional operators handled FPV drones for directed, cinematic flight shots around the ships and harbour structures, footage that was not only essential for the main film, but also highly effective for short-form social content.

This level of complexity demanded absolute clarity in direction, communication and pre-defined visual strategy.

Storytelling with scale and emotion

Parallel to the harbour operations, we developed and executed a comprehensive video concept that followed the full journey of the greenhouse: material production, logistics, container transport and shipment to the United States. The film was designed to capture not only the technical process, but also the human effort, pressure and pride behind the project, with VB positioned as the beating heart of this large-scale international operation.
