Happy Italy

Happy Italy Kids Party

Info

Happy Italy is a Dutch restaurant chain known for affordable Italian classics, pizza, pasta and family-friendly dining, with more than 20 locations as part of Restaurant Company Europe. They invited us to develop a visual campaign for their kids party concept, an important part of their offering that had not yet been fully brought to life in their branding.

Scope

We handled the full pre-production, scriptwriting and concept development, followed by a dedicated shoot day featuring two adult actors and a group of children together with their parents or guardians. Managing a production with a large cast of kids requires precision and care which we gladly provided.

Bringing Happy Italy’s kids party to life

Happy Italy’s brand is built on accessibility, energy and togetherness.

Yet one of their strongest in-store offerings, the kids party arrangement, had never been visually translated in a way that matched the atmosphere and appeal of their restaurants.

Our goal was to change that.

‍

The creative direction focused on two key elements:

The children’s experience: Joy, energy and the freedom to play, visualised through dynamic camera movements, colourful settings and natural performances.

The parent’s perspective: Stress-free, easy, and fully taken care of. The snippets highlight how the kids party is not only fun for children, but also a moment of relief for parents.

Working with the cast

Working with two adult actors and a large group of children required careful coordination. We structured the shoot around short, manageable scenes, balancing direction with real spontaneity to create authentic interaction. Happy Italy’s kitchen staff also played a role on camera, showing how enthusiastic chefs help make the kids' party experience more engaging and memorable.

It was our desire to create the look of a studio but in the authentic atmosphere of a Happy Italy location. To achieve this, we transformed a Happy Italy location into a film set in a single day, adjusting lighting with a custom lighting plan that included diffusing a large sky panel on the top of the building, staging, props and flow to fit a playful, studio-grade environment.

To enhance the playful tone, we incorporated: creative camera transitions and cheerful pacing aligned with Happy Italy’s family-oriented brand. This created a recognisable visual style that can be used consistently across future promotional assets.

A visual foundation

The final video snippets are now used across Happy Italy’s website and social channels, strengthening the visibility of the kids party concept and supporting both customer experience and marketing reach.

By capturing the fun, energy and effortless experience for families, the campaign gives Happy Italy a solid visual foundation for one of their most unique offerings.
